The use of this word hides specific intentions of control and manipulation. Two manipulators can develop some form of friendship only in cases of emergency for both or as a tacit strategic agreement which would guarantee some privileges to both of them. Should either condition cease, they will slaughter each other. One caveat, though: two manipulators of like force and intelligence will never collide, for fear of mutual defeat or of losing most of their energy to one another.
This type of union between two or more manipulators is called "flock". For example, in the case of manipulators of the same sex, we call it "sex flock".
